SUMMARY: We are seeking a decisive, metrics driven Operations Manager for Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) to lead accuracy, quality, and process reliability across our Reno Distribution Center. This role is ideal for a confident operator who can identify risks early, hold teams accountable, develop leaders, and influence peers through assertive, respectful communication. You will be a key partner in stabilizing and advancing the facilitys performance as volume grows.
MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 3-4+ years leading teams of 30+ employees in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Experience in mistarget scale operations. Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret metrics, identify risks, and make databased decisions. Preferred: Bachelors degree from four-year college or university Preferred: 2+ years of management experience in a Distribution Center environment Preferred: Experience in inventory control, quality systems, or EHS programs. Preferred: Background using Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Lead EHS and quality programs, including internal audits, corrective actions, and compliance with regulatory and certifying requirements. Ensure inventory accuracy, adherence to defined processes, and timely resolution of nonconformance issues. Identify risks early and escalate appropriately to protect accuracy and quality outcomes. Participate in daily leadership rituals including the morning meeting, midday Gemba walk, and afternoon planning, presenting team results and risk areas. Analyze metrics to determine daily priorities and direct the team toward rootcause problem solving. Ensure quality standards are upheld across all departments, addressing gaps directly and constructively. Utilize Lean/LSS tools to evaluate workflows, drive process improvements, and reduce scrap, waste, or inefficiencies. Support operating plans, capacity studies, forecasting, and weekly production planning sessions to align resources with operational goals. Lead, coach, and develop Area Managers and functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and consistent execution. Collaborate with customerfacing and production teams to prioritize work, allocate labor, and maintain throughput without compromising quality. Communicate clearly across the facility to align on priorities, escalate risks, and reinforce qualityfirst decisionmaking.
