HERBST FAMILY FARM Farmworker/Crop Laborer (Temporary) in SPANISH FORK, Utah
Temporary Need: 03/15/26 - 12/15/26. Seven (7) full-time, seasonal, temporary Farm Workers/Crop Laborers needed. Requirements: A minimum of three (3) months experience required. Driver's license in 30 days to operate farm vehicles.
Worksite location: Work will be performed in Spanish Fork and Lehi, Utah.
Will work 40 hrs./wk., Mon-Fri., 8:00am - 5:00pm. A general work week is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, because of the complexity of the crop conditions workers may be requested to work long days as well as on Saturdays, Sundays or Federal Holidays, depending upon the conditions of the commodities being produced. Therefore, hours above 40 per week may be offered but are not guaranteed.
Wage is $16.89/hr. for US workers. $15.02/hour for H-2A workers.
Duties:
Operate farming equipment in order to plant, spray, irrigate, harvest and haul small grain crops and pumpkins. Stack and bail hay. Maintain irrigation systems. General farm related duties such as shop work, servicing equipment and maintaining farm grounds. Fix and repair fencing and other farm structures.
Terms and conditions of employment: Tools, room, board, kitchen facilities and transportation provided at no cost to workers. Workers will be required to keep all property, housing, and farm buildings clean. Must be able to provide employment eligibility documentation (I9 verification) upon hire. The employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compensation laws for comparable employment. Employer guarantees to offer employment for a minimum of 3/4 of the workdays of the total specified period during which the work contract and all extensions thereof are in effect, beginning with the first day after worker arrives at the place of employment and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or extensions thereof. In Act of God termination, the 3/4 guarantee period ends on the date of termination. After worker has completed 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse worker for the cost of transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of employment. Upon completion of the work contract, employer will pay reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence (travel reimbursement subsistence will be the minimum amount of $16.28per 24-hour period of travel without receipts and the maximum amount will be $68 per day with receipts) from the place of employment to the place of recruitment, except when the worker will not be returning to the place of recruitment due to subsequent employment with another employer who agrees to pay such costs, in which case the employer will only pay for the transportation and subsistence to the next job. The amount of the transportation payment will be equal to the most economical and reasonable similar common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. Free transportation will be provided from the housing location to the work site and return each day. The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage (AWER) that is issued and determined by DOL for the time period the work is performed (or whichever is the highest pay rate).
