The Compliance & Legal Vendor Technology organization provides a coordinated technology approach to continuously enhance Schwab’s Corporate Systems platforms. We are a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values curiosity, accountability, and practical problem solving.
In this role, you’ll translate complex business needs into clear, high-impact technology solutions that improve how work gets done. You’ll partner closely with business and technical teams to modernize systems, streamline processes, and deliver measurable outcomes. What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll focus on understanding business needs, shaping technical solutions, and supporting projects from discovery through delivery.
Translate business needs into clear technical solutions and requirements used throughout the development lifecycle
Partner with stakeholders to define and refine functional specifications, system context diagrams, and use cases
Contribute to process improvements and the adoption of new technologies that support faster, more flexible product delivery
Perform data analysis to support design decisions and impact assessments
Review and validate test cases to ensure solutions meet requirements
Create mock‑ups or wireframes to support user interface design and usability
Manage change requests and document work through Jira
Support projects across planning, development, testing, and deployment
Define project scope, milestones, phases, and key deliverables
Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and communicate status and risks clearly to partners and leadership
Facilitate productive requirements discovery sessions with confidence and subject‑matter expertise
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to align expectations and resolve issues
Identify risks early and propose thoughtful, practical solutions
Support production issues by documenting root causes and partnering with teams to drive resolution
What you have
To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, product management, or a similar role.
5 or more years of experience working with data, including complex SQL, data mapping, and ETL processes.
Experience collaborating with both business and technical teams to gather requirements and perform impact analysis.
Experience assessing upstream and downstream impacts of data and system changes.
Project management experience with the ability to guide initiatives to successful completion.
Working knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) practices, including both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Experience partnering with quality assurance and production support teams.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, prioritization, and decision‑making skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using tools such as MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, and general familiarity with Outlook, Visual Studio, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years of experience in the financial services industry.
Experience creating mock‑ups or wireframes for user interface design.
Ability to anticipate risks and propose creative, effective solutions.
Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and navigate change in a complex environment.
