Job Summary
The Facilities & Workplace Experience Manager is responsible for assisting with the strategic oversight, planning, and execution of Sun’s corporate office facilities, including office expansions, renovations, and new construction projects. They lead the facilities team, ensuring a high-performing, well-maintained, and scalable work environment that supports the evolving needs of the company. This position serves as the primary point of contact for facilities-related needs.
Job Duties
Acts as the primary owner and steward of Sun’s corporate office facilities, ensuring a consistently high standard of maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality (Essential)
Oversees daily facilities operations, ensuring all workspaces, common areas, and amenities support a positive and productive team member experience. (Essential)
Monitors facilities performance, proactively identifying issues, risks, and improvement opportunities, and implementing solutions. (Essential)
Oversees the coordination of office space planning, including layout optimization, seating strategies, and future-state workplace design. (Essential)
Provides leadership and direction to the facilities team, establishing priorities, setting performance expectations, and driving accountability for results. (Essential)
Supports the oversight and execution of end-to-end project management for office construction, renovation, and expansion initiatives, including planning, budgeting, vendor selection, execution, and closeout. (Essential)
Partners with architects, designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to help define project scope, establish timelines, and ensure alignment with business needs. (Essential)
Takes a leading role in coordinating relationships with property management, service providers, and external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely service delivery. (Essential)
Oversees work order management, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders. (Essential)
Oversees team member selection, onboarding, training, and ongoing development. (Essential)
Conducts performance reviews, provides coaching, and supports career development and succession planning (Essential)
Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
Provides regular project updates, risk assessments, and executive-level reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams to support organizational initiatives and workplace needs
Assists with developing and managing facilities and project-related budgets, ensuring cost-effective decision making and financial accountability.
Tracks and reports on expenses, project costs, and operational efficiencies.
Supports daily office operations as needed to ensure a seamless team member and guest experience.
Oversees procurement of office supplies, furniture and equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Partners with Team Relations on performance management, including corrective action and terminations when appropriate
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in in Business Management or related field (Required)
Relevant degree or equivalent experience (Required)
5 years in Facilities management or office management experience, including leadership of direct reports (Required)
3 years in Project management experience, including large-scale office construction or renovation projects (Required)
Extensive knowledge of building maintenance functions
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Excellent attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email and internet
Ability to respond to business needs after normal business hours
Proficiency with AutoCAD (Preferred)
Passion for developing and leading a team
Advanced reporting and data analysis ability
Strong leadership and team development capabilities
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation throughout the working day
