Description

Environmental Tectonics Corporation, a growing, dynamic US-based Company located just outside of Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Electrical Engineer support the design and development of stand-alone, distributed I/O, SCADA and network-based controls systems for integration with a variety equipment.

The successful applicant will have:

  • The ability to apply basic electrical engineering principles to design, fabricate, modify, enhance and evaluate moderately complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems for new and existing products within budget and time constraints.

  • Experience developing complete control systems including panel assemblies, wiring diagrams and schematics.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (required) .

  • Experience with CAD software (Autodesk Product Design Suite).

  • Familiarity with measuring devices, engineering lab equipment, and standard engineering tools.

  • Intermediate level computer skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Working Knowledge of electrical codes (i.e. NEC, NFPA, UL508A) is desired.

  • 5-10 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

  • Willingness to learn and contribute new ideas.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and design panel assembly drawings with full wiring diagrams and control system schematics using AutoCAD.

  • Identify issues in existing designs and recommend, implement and document approved changes.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with the mechanical design team to ensure system integration.

  • Provide technical guidance to electrical technicians and assemblers.

  • Assist test engineers in the component and bench testing.

    This is a Full Time 40 hour a week position and also offers opportunity for career progression.
