Description
Environmental Tectonics Corporation, a growing, dynamic US-based Company located just outside of Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Electrical Engineer support the design and development of stand-alone, distributed I/O, SCADA and network-based controls systems for integration with a variety equipment.
The successful applicant will have:
The ability to apply basic electrical engineering principles to design, fabricate, modify, enhance and evaluate moderately complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems for new and existing products within budget and time constraints.
Experience developing complete control systems including panel assemblies, wiring diagrams and schematics.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (required) .
Experience with CAD software (Autodesk Product Design Suite).
Familiarity with measuring devices, engineering lab equipment, and standard engineering tools.
Intermediate level computer skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working Knowledge of electrical codes (i.e. NEC, NFPA, UL508A) is desired.
5-10 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Willingness to learn and contribute new ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and design panel assembly drawings with full wiring diagrams and control system schematics using AutoCAD.
Identify issues in existing designs and recommend, implement and document approved changes.
Coordinate and collaborate with the mechanical design team to ensure system integration.
Provide technical guidance to electrical technicians and assemblers.
Assist test engineers in the component and bench testing.
