Town of Southampton Maintenance Mechanic II in SOUTHAMPTON, New York
The Town is seeking a qualified individual skilled in plumbing to work in our Building & Facilities division of our Municipal Works department. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week. Typical job duties include, but are not limited to:Performs general maintenance and repair work to Town owned buildings and grounds, including carpentry and plumbing;Operates and maintains power equipment as directed including: saws, drills, mowers, chainsaws and generators;Maintenance on all equipment including small lawn mowers, tractors, chainsaws, blowers as well as other related equipment; May perform outside maintenance tasks such as snow removal and minor grounds maintenance.#### #### CIVIL SERVICE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Either:a) Completion of two (2) years of vocational education courses in a vocational school program or in an apprentice or training program in one of the craft areas; or, (b) Two (2) years of experience in minor maintenance or repair work; or, (c) An equivalent combination of education, or training, and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b); or, (d) One (1) year of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic I. Starting annual salary $66,168.72 plus full benefit package.
