A healthier future. It’s what drives us to innovate. To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come. Creating a world where we all have more time with the people we love.

The Opportunity:

This role is responsible for establishing and running the governance “operating system” for Digital Finance, overseeing how initiatives are prioritized, resourced, tracked, and delivered across the portfolio. It covers a broad scope of Digital Finance activities, including ERP stabilization, analytics and AI use cases, process optimization, automation, and data governance, ensuring both transformation and ongoing support work are effectively managed. The role balances strategic and operational responsibilities, defining governance models, portfolio strategy, and OKR frameworks while also running forums, managing dependencies, tracking delivery performance, and driving issue resolution and adoption. It plays a critical role in ensuring transparency, alignment, and value realization across initiatives by implementing structured, outcome-based portfolio management practices adapted to a regulated enterprise environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage intake & prioritization: Establish a structured process for capturing, triaging, scoring, and approving requests, balancing demand with available capacity.

  • Own the portfolio view: Maintain an end-to-end view of the Digital Finance portfolio, including roadmap, milestones, dependencies, resourcing, risks, and key decisions.

  • Define delivery standards: Set expectations for delivery practices, including documentation, status reporting, templates, and, where applicable, agile/sprint rituals.

  • Track value realization: Implement mechanisms to measure and report benefits such as time savings, cycle time reduction, error reduction, adoption, and SLA improvements.

  • Run governance forums: Establish and manage intake councils, portfolio reviews, escalation pathways, and decision logs to ensure structured oversight and accountability.

  • Drive change and adoption: Partner with change, communications, and business owners to ensure effective rollout, training alignment, and adoption tracking.

  • Ensure cross-functional alignment: Coordinate with IT, data governance, architecture, and global finance teams to maintain consistency with enterprise standards and cadences.

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation: Ensure major changes are properly documented to meet internal control and compliance requirements.

  • Provide financial visibility: Support portfolio-level business case tracking and value realization, while maintaining visibility into spend across contractors, vendors, and tools.

  • Lead through influence: Set operating cadence, coach workstream leads, and drive accountability across matrixed teams while fostering a culture of transparency and disciplined execution.

Who You Are:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA/MS preferred.

  • Certifications: PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent portfolio/program certification strongly preferred; change management certification (e.g., Prosci) is a plus.

  • Experience: 10+ years in portfolio/program management, finance transformation, or enterprise PMO roles.

  • Governance expertise: Demonstrated experience designing and implementing intake and governance frameworks, including prioritization criteria, forums, and decision rights.

  • Transformation delivery: Proven track record supporting complex initiatives spanning technology and process (e.g., ERP, reporting, automation, analytics).

  • Regulated environments: Experience working in controlled environments with strong requirements for documentation, traceability, and compliance.

  • Stakeholder leadership: Strong executive presence with experience engaging, facilitating, and aligning senior stakeholders across functions.

  • Core capabilities: Strong skills in portfolio strategy, prioritization, capacity planning, value realization, risk/issue management, and operating rhythm management, with the ability to communicate clearly and drive decisions in complex environments.
