Contract Payroll Project Specialist (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate completion of all payroll cycles across multiple entities
Support and help drive successful UKG payroll software implementation, contributing payroll expertise and process insights.
Calculate manual rate of pay scenarios, including union payroll nuances and collective bargaining agreement requirements.
Partner with HR and finance teams to support automation initiatives in payroll and related processes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, particularly union payroll and multi-cost center requirements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve pay discrepancies, scheduling inconsistencies, and system issues during the transition.
Ensure data integrity, audit readiness, and excellence in payroll reporting for diverse organizational structures.
Requirements
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification required.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with UKG (Kronos Ultimate) payroll systems; UKG implementation/project experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to handle payroll for multi-entity organizations
Expertise building automation and process improvement initiatives within payroll, HRIS, or finance systems.
Experience processing union payroll and performing manual pay rate calculations.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills in a fully remote setting.
