Genentech Digital Health Lead in South San Francisco, California

The Digital Health Lead (DHL) serves as a strategic partner within the Global Pharma Strategy (GPS) organization, aligning digital health technologies with Therapy Area and Disease Area (TA/DA) objectives. This position is responsible for identifying and prioritizing patient-centric solutions to enhance the performance of Roche’s molecule portfolio. The DHL guides concepts through the development lifecycle, from initial discovery to deployment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Stewardship: Lead the integration of digital health into Disease Area Strategies, ensuring initiatives align with Roche Pharma’s ambitions and meet desirability, feasibility, and viability criteria.

  • Solution Development: Direct the identification of solution options, providing "build, buy, or partner" recommendations and developing investment cases for Go/No-go decisions.

  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee early pilot testing and real-world validation to demonstrate value, while managing discontinuation considerations when necessary for the portfolio.

  • Collaborate with internal partners, including RIS, PDMA, and PI, to prioritize resources and develop market entry plans for scaling solutions in prioritized markets.

  • Ecosystem Expertise: Maintain evergreen knowledge of the external digital health landscape, including regulatory, privacy, and compliance considerations across different healthcare systems.

Who You Are

  • Strategic Visionary: You possess a fluent understanding of digital health applicability across business verticals and can create de-novo strategies based on detailed knowledge of constraints.

  • You demonstrate a high degree of drive and the ability to influence senior strategy leaders and cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment

  • Analytical Problem-Solver: You can quickly analyze complex challenges and provide innovative solutions while maintaining a focus on real-world patient impact.

  • You excel at explaining complex digital health topics to non-experts, conveying the clear business rationale for direction and action.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree required

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial operations, consulting,

  • Experience working in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry
