Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Testing: Perform dimensional, visual, and functional checks on components using CMM, micrometers, gauges, etc..
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and apply blueprints, GD&T, material specs, and engineering drawings.
- Documentation: Generate inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), First Article Inspections (FAI), and maintain quality logs.
- Calibration & Maintenance: Calibrate inspection tools and perform basic maintenance.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC): Manage SPC, run capability studies (Gauge R&R), and analyze data.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify issues, support root cause analysis (FMEA), and help implement corrective actions (CAPA).
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to AS9100, FAA, and company quality policies.
- Collaboration: Work with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve issues
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Understanding of Aerospace Quality Systems (AS9100).
- Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, PPAP
- Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate degree in Quality Management or a technical field preferred.
- Experience: 23 years of experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with ERP or Quality Management System (QMS) software.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills for collaborating with engineering and production teams
