Gilbertsville Farmhouse EVENT & RESORT STAFF in South New Berlin, New York

We are looking for seasonal event staff to start in April through the end of November. Various positions available and various hours available, day and night. Events run FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS with potential for more. We are looking for responsible, reliable and friendly people to be here during event times to support our staff and attend to guests. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to work long hours in a fast-paced environment and maintain a friendly demeanor and composure. These positions require working directly with the customers and other staff to ensure a happy and luxurious guest experience. A good candidate will be a self-motivator who understands the importance of executing their duties as directed by management and who works well with others. A good candidate is also a strong communicator who likes working serving others. Smiling all the time is important, not only to guests, but to co-workers as well. As a Gilbertsville Farmhouse Staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of various events by providing exceptional guest services and hospitality. <p> Job Responsibilities:

Commit to all expected working dates from May to November (dates of schedule can be given for entire season and can be discussed during interview); Greet and welcome guests upon arrival at events; Assist with event set-up, including arranging furniture, decorations, and equipment as needed with direction from Event Director; Provide information and directions to guests regarding event activities, schedules, and facilities Monitor event areas to ensure cleanliness and organization; Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner; Collaborate with other event staff members to ensure smooth operations throughout the event; Some positions may require ability to drive a tractor and build a bonfire; Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds; Provide golf cart transportation services for customers safely; Picking up and moving luggage; It is expected that the person will present themselves in a neat and tidy manner, having showered and shaved, with details regarding dress code to be discussed; As a representative, you maintain a positive demeanor when interacting with customers, ensuring their experience is enjoyable and their needs are met, and any challenges or issues are kept confidential and only discussed with the Event Director; Follow directions/schedule of duties and expectations, without requiring repeated reminders or supervision.; Customer service focus at all times

<p> Job Qualifications/Skills desired:

Reliable, on time and work all expected days agreed upon for season; Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules; Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests; Able to drive tractors and golf carts if required; Able to learn quickly, able to repeat expectations for each event (many duties/responsibilities the same per event), while always keeping ears open to learn more over time; Organization skills; Time management skills; Attention to detail; Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with professionalism; Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and team members The ability to communicate in a fast-moving environment and to work as a team; The ability to take direction and follow schedule throughout events
