General Manager of Sales:

Michigan (On-site)

Responsible for managing MST Sales Team - both the Outside (Territory) Sales Representatives and the Inside Sales Representatives. Support the Sales Team’s efforts to: identify, quantify and maximize business opportunities. Develop productive, and effective, relationship with the customer at all levels. Provide support to all efforts to retain existing customers and gain prospective customers.

Location: Michigan

Job Type: Full-Time (On-site)

Schedule: Monday thru Friday (hours may fluctuate based on business)

Salary: Based on experience and background - Up to $140K

Bonus: Performance Award Plan, paid annually: Target of 25% of base salary - 15% Profit Sharing based on EBIDTA and 10% Commercial Incentives

Travel: Up to 25% (Monthly Meeting in Hammond, IN)

Required: You must have - Tubing Sales - experience ; a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Sales with at least 3-5 years' in a Leadership (Sales Management) position

Preferred: Seamless Tubing Sales experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, Economics, or equivalent experience in a Senior Sales Management role

RESPONSIBILITIES -

  1. Develop NEW business as a top priority

  2. Communicate with Senior Management effectively with information such as: pricing trends, marketing trends, competitive information, and other vital market information

  3. Develop relationships at all levels of the businesses served

  4. Communicate with customers to understand their needs and develop a strategy to support these needs

  5. Provides support to Sales Team to gain access to key decision makers

  6. Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management, including resolving any issues that may arise post-sale

  7. Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest

  8. Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems

  9. Responsible for day to day administrative activities

  10. Liaison with mill for production and shipping concerns

  11. Monthly sales presentations at the business review meeting

  12. Prepare quarterly Board of Directors presentations

  13. Maintain all customer price sheets

  14. Provide periodic sales forecasts

  15. Manage the sales funnel for tracking new business opportunities

  16. Provide training as needed

  17. Perform other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -

  1. Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with Senior Management, colleagues, customers and others

  2. Must be able to establish effective and productive relationships with customers, colleagues and others

  3. Must be able to cost effectively regularly travel throughout the various sales territories

  4. Must be capable of using various resources to identify, qualify and target potential customers and grow with those customers while maintaining solid relationships with established customers

QUALIFICATIONS -

  1. BA or BS degree preferred

  2. Significant experience in Sales Management

  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills

  4. Strong computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to learn and access a computerized business system

  5. Tubing experience a must, Seamless Tubing preferred
