SMT Machine Operator 1^st^ and 2^nd^ shifts (Temporary On Going Need)

Creative Electronics and Software (CES) is a privately owned (started in 1989) Contract Electronics and PCB Manufacturer with manufacturing locations in South Elgin IL and Las Vegas NV. We support a diversified customer base that includes: RFID, energy conservation, medical equipment, military, wireless telemetry, gaming & entertainment, smart grid, and industrial controls.

Summary:

Using proper documentation, the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Machine operator sets up all required machines to run PCBs including the board loader, screen printer, pick and place, re-flow oven, and conveyors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up, load components onto and tear down feeders and SMT pick and place machine.
• Monitor performance of equipment and component placement using SMT equipment.
• Maintain preventative maintenance and keep machines clean.
• Replace stock when required, program PCBs, while also being responsible for writing and

saving computer programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 1 or more years of SMT equipment operation, quality oriented, knowledgeable identifying

SMT component values and polarities REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic understanding of IPC SMT Placement & Soldering Acceptability Standards
• Knowledge of electronic component identification
• Excellent organizational skills, problem solving techniques, and accuracy are essential
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft office & keyboard typing
• Ability to function well in a team environment
• Ability to read and understand assembly drawings
• Must be able to communicate (read and write) effectively

Working Condition:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to withstand changes in temperature

This is an on-going need but the selected person will be employed via CES staffing partner and not an employee of CES.

Starting Pay Range: \$16 - \$18 per hour
