United States Fleet Forces Command TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in Souda Bay, Greece

You will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist in the Base Level Communications (N9) department of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic (NCTAMS LANT DET SOUDA BAY) in Souda Bay, Greece. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f. Responsibilities You will serve as the overall manager for Base Level Communications services at NSA Souda Bay. You will be responsible for the administration, engineering and operations of all telecommunications facilities and systems. You will liaison with independent suppliers of telecommunications supplies and services to ensure adequate performance. You will participate in the acquisition of equipment and services in support of DOD agencies telecommunication requirements. You will provide adequate, reliable and cost estimates for proposed new facilities as well as projects involving the modification of existing facilities. You will manage official and unofficial funds for customers for the Base Communications Office. You will be responsible for all customers billing and accounting practices. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: 1. Serves as the overall manager for Base Level Communications services and is responsible for the administration, engineering and operations of all telecommunications facilities and systems. 2. Responsible for the management and administration of Base Level Communications equipment and services for Installations in the Naval Support Activity Souda Area including both commercial and Defense Switched Network (DSN) services. 3. Responsible for the review of MILCON projects. 4. Manages official and unofficial funds for B1/B2 customers for the Base Communications Office. 5. Responsible for all customers billing and accounting practices and certifies and processes all invoices for payment of telephone services. Risk Management Framework (RMF) Experience, Certification & Accredidation (C&A) Experience, Cyber Security Experience, Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) Qualified of which, the following certficates give an example of what is acceptable = ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Comptia Security +, ECCOUNCIL Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) etc. This position is within the Work Category Professional Full Performance at Work Level II, Series and Grade (Pay Band 3 GG-11-13). Pay retention may be granted when certain conditions are met. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. The Cyber Interagency Transfer Authority (CITA) permits movement of CES employees appointed under Section 1599f of Title 10 U.S.C. and excepted service employees appointed under Schedule A, Section 213.3106(b)(11) of Title 5 CFR, into cyber workforce positions in the competitive service and movement of competitive service employees into DoD Cyber Workforce positions within the Military Departments and Defense Agencies.
