Amergis CAT Scan Technologist (CT Tech) in Sonora, California
The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred.
Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
CAT Scan Technologist (Travel) – Sonora, CA
Weekly Pay: $2,926 | 13-Week Contract | Fri–Sun Schedule
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced CAT Scan Technologist for an exciting 13-week travel assignment at a top-performing healthcare facility in Sonora, CA. This role is ideal for an imaging professional who performs three modalities and thrives in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Position Details
Job Title: CAT Scan Technologist (CT Tech – Travel)
Location: Sonora, CA
Shift: Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekly Pay: $2,926 total
$1,680 taxable
$1,246 stipends
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
The CAT Scan Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures including CT, X-ray, and Fluoroscopy, along with other modalities based on certifications. The ideal candidate ensures high-quality imaging, maintains patient safety, and contributes to the department’s operational goals.
Job RequirementsEducation & Experience
Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology – Required
Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred
Master’s Degree – Preferred
3 years of technical imaging experience – Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
BLS/CPR – Required
State Radiologic Technologist (RT) License – Required
ARRT Registered – Required
ARRT-R – Required
Must hold current certification in one advanced modality and perform duties in at least one additional modality, including:
CT, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, PET
One of the following – Required:
ARRT-CT, ARRT-M, ARRT-MRI, ARMRIT, ARRT-NMT, SNMT, ARRT-S, RDMS, RDCS, CCI-RCS, RTPET
Essential Functions
Perform radiographic, CT, mammographic, and/or ultrasound exams (minimum 3 modalities).
Safely transport, transfer, and assist patients.
Prepare and administer contrast agents for imaging procedures.
Perform mobile imaging as required.
Support day-to-day departmental operations and additional assigned tasks.
