Job Title: Electromechanical Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an Electromechanical Technician, where you will be assembling testing equipment alongside a dedicated team. These structures, which consist of various sub-assemblies, typically take up to a week to build. You will engage in electro-mechanical and mechanical assembly of components, wire panels together, and perform crimping and stripping tasks. Utilize your electrical skills and proficiency with hand tools to complete these assemblies, and apply your knowledge of schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble testing equipment with the team.

  • Perform electro-mechanical and mechanical assembly of components.

  • Wire panels together and conduct crimping and stripping.

  • Utilize hand tools such as grinders and drills for assembly tasks.

  • Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient wiring and crimping experience.

  • Ability to read work instructions and schematics.

  • Confidence in using hand tools like grinders and drills.

  • Strong electrical skills for assembly tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with sub-assembly processes.

  • Skills in larger scale assembly, particularly with capital equipment.

Work Environment

You will work in a team of about five from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes and jeans.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Somerville, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.25 - $29.00/hr.
