Job Summary
The Sales Trainer’s purpose is to support Sales teams through all sales development and execution efforts. While this is a general Sales Trainer role, the position will have a strong focus on Go-to-Market, SHI Solutions, and technical sales enablement across all sales segments.
This role is responsible for supporting onboarding of new sales hires and driving ongoing education to help Sales teams achieve performance targets and strategic initiatives. The Sales Trainer will help design and deliver training programs and learning content focused on sales execution, technology acumen, and Go-to-Market strategies. Additionally, the Trainer will provide continuous feedback and insights to Sales leadership to identify opportunities to improve sales performance and outcomes.
Given the Go-to-Market and Solution Pillar focus, the ideal candidate will have experience in technical sales or technical sales enablement. At a minimum, candidates must demonstrate confidence and comfort delivering training on more technical topics, including Data Center, Security, Networking, AI, End‑User Devices, Cloud, and Services. Experience in IT industry pre‑sales or sales training environments is strongly preferred.
Role Description
Create, collaborate on, and present learning content specific to SHI solutions and capabilities, as well as technology acumen, to Sales teams
Assist with communication to Sales around training schedules and support calendar invitations for live trainings as needed
Facilitate learning using a variety of delivery methods, including classroom, virtual, and blended learning
Organize and maintain sales enablement content in platforms such as SHI Learn, Microsoft Teams, and internal SharePoint sites
Support virtual training technologies and gamification, including Q&A, participation tracking, and reporting
Identify ways to enhance learning effectiveness and continuously improve training content and delivery
Conduct knowledge assessments and learning surveys for Sales teams
Provide ongoing feedback to Sales leadership to improve performance and achievement of sales targets
Build and maintain key relationships with sales leaders, technical resources, and strategic vendor partners

Other Requirements
Completed Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience in Sales, IT pre‑sales, or Sales Enablement (or a combination)
Experience with classroom management preferred
Experience with content creation preferred
Ability to travel up to 10% to approved conferences or Field Sales Offices
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
