Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in preparing earthwork for construction projects by operating dozers, excavators, and rollers.
Responsibilities
Operate dozers, rollers, and excavators to prepare earthwork for construction.
Perform grading, leveling, trench digging, and utility installation with precision.
Work under minimal supervision, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency.
Report to the project foreman and collaborate effectively within a team.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of civil/site work construction experience.
Proficient in operating dozers, rollers, and excavators without supervision.
Possession of OSHA 10 Certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in construction, heavy equipment, and backhoe operation.
Knowledge of civil construction, site preparation, earthwork, and utility installation.

Work Environment
Work outdoors on large parking lots and non-highway roads, facing various weather conditions, including heat. Crews range from 2-3 to over 10 members, reporting to the project foreman. Standard shifts are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility required for overtime and occasional overnight work. Be prepared for a dynamic work environment with ample opportunities for extra hours during peak seasons.

This is a Permanent position based out of Solvay, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
