The Market Development Manager, in collaboration with the Global Marketing Director SUS, is responsible for the development and implementation of the SUS, and moreover the BPS, Business' global strategy, both in the Biopharmaceutical Market and Cell and Gene Therapy Markets. Will create the strategic proposals by collecting, analyzing and synthesizing global market trends, assessing their impact on the business, understanding the business' strongest value proposition and identifying customers' unmet needs. Will identify strategic market segments/applications/modalities. Supports the sales team to grow the business by formalizing the market strategy. Ensures close collaboration with the R&D teams. Screens and ranks opportunities based on market assessments and strategic fit, presents strategic market trends and applications, collaborates on potential customer problem statements with R&D, and builds business cases to support R&D investments and new product & service development. Also supports brand development and marketing communication efforts. Market Segmentation Update / Refine the segmentation of our Core Biopharmaceutical & Cell and Gene Therapy markets Describe and quantify each sub-segment worldwide Identify the main applications, material platforms or processes, including new ones. Extract strategic recommendations based on the attractiveness of each sub-segment and application. Strategy Implementation Prepare strategic analyses and presentations to define the SUS, and moreover the BPS, strategy that will lead to improved margins and increase win rate. Develop KPIs to follow the strategy deployment and business growth achievements Market Development Identify new applications or emerging market segments which could represent relevant new business or market opportunities Develop and quantify value-creating scenarios to capture new business opportunities. Assess potential Mergers and Acquisition targets Innovation Generate ideas for new R&D projects by uncovering unmet needs and problem statements (VOC) Support the development of new products, services or business models, acting as a project contributor and a marketing voice Support R&D in the ideation, evaluation, and prioritization of projects. Marketing Communication Activities Ensure Marketing communication activities are in line with the global strategy. Provide insights to drive valuable marketing initiatives that will result in increased # of leads Support the Marketing and Marcom teams in the brand development activities & strategic content. Is this job for you ? Education: Bachelor's Degree - Business, Engineering, Marketing, Biology, Biotech or Other Technical/Related Field; Required. Master's Degree - Business, Engineering, Marketing, Biology, Biotech or Other Technical Field; Preferred. Experience: 5+ years of experience within R&D, Strategic Marketing, Market Research & Analysis; Required. Experience with Corporate Strategy & Market Development; Required. 3+ years, Preferr
