Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the development and execution of our revenue management strategies including price development, customer-specific pricing programs and distributor price concessions, and integration with our manufacturing, product and market management strategies. The manager is responsible for leading a team of pricing professionals, as well as process and data professionals. The manager will also interface directly with senior executives to discuss revenue opportunities, data insights, and the further development and execution of our revenue management and analytics strategies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of Swagelok’s pricing strategy and tactics.

  • Instill a culture of policy driven pricing where tactical decisions are made based on documented, vetted pricing policies. Collaborate with other functions to ensure pricing is a valid representation of our marketing, operations, and supply chain strategies.

  • Lead product and market business process strategy through participation in cross-functional teams responsible for setting budget and information systems’ priorities.

  • Lead cross-functional, corporate strategic imperatives to increase customer satisfaction and revenue from data driven customer insight.

  • Interact frequently with senior level executives and distributor associates to solve customer, market, and product line revenue and pricing issues.

  • Manage a method and cadence for periodically reviewing the effectiveness of our pricing strategy. Document plan and develop system for reporting progress to plan.

  • Develop expertise in the creation of logic-based product price models. Serve as the primary subject matter expert in price model development and price execution.

Technical

  • Works with information systems, data governance, and others to identify and implement improvements in our pricing and analytics systems and processes.

  • Extensive experience with data gathering, cleaning, and reporting tools and processes.

  • Experience with financial statements and financial analysis methods (e.g. variance analysis, trend and breakdown analysis)

  • Recognizes and articulates best practices for data extraction, storage, analysis, and presentation techniques.

  • Experience with developing pricing strategies and implementation of changes.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Education:

BS/BA in Engineering or Marketing.

Experience:

A minimum of ten (10) years' experience with increasing commercial responsibilities and technical fluency with product, pricing, and market analysis tools and techniques.

Skills:

Ability to assimilate and synthesize market information from various sources into a cohesive plan. Excellent oral and verbal communications skills. Ability to quickly build rapport and influence with a wide variety of people, including customers, executive management, and peers. Demonstrated supervisory capability.
