Rustic Slate Roofing Roofer Helper in Solon, Ohio

Anticipated Start Date of Work: 2026-04-01 Anticipated End Date of Work: 2026-12-15 Worksite Location(s): Various client worksites in Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake counties. The employer will provide transportation from shop to work sites. Job Description: Rustic Slate Roofing seeks to hire 8 FULL TIME, TEMPORARY Roofer Helpers to work from April 1, 2026, to December 15, 2026. Work locations are in Geauga, Cuyahoga, Lake counties. The employer will provide transportation from the shop in Solon to worksites. The Roofer Helpers will chop and heat tar; hoist tar and roofing materials to roofs; carry materials up ladder; remove old roof materials; maintain and clean tools and equipment; assist skilled roofers in replacing and installing roofs, flashings and surfaces. This is a full time, temporary job. Work days/hrs are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, 40hrs/week, overtime as needed. Pay is $27.83/hr with OT pay at $41.75/hr. Raises/bonuses awarded based on merit and/or tenure with employer. Job Requirements: Able to lift/carry 50lbs. 2 references required. Random post hire background, drug and alcohol checks. Able to work at heights of 15 ft or more. 3 months roofing experience. Various client worksites in Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake counties. The employer will provide transportation from shop to work sites. Will daily transportation be provided?: Yes. Various client worksites in Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake counties. The employer will provide transportation from shop in Solon to work sites. Provision of Board/Lodging or Other Facilities: No. Is On-the-Job Training available?: No.        If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. H-2B ASSURANCES Deductions from the Worker's Paycheck: The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. First Workweek Reimbursement: Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). Provision of Tools, Supplies, and Equipment: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Single Workweek for Pay: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
