Actalent Quality Engineer in Solon, Ohio
Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support and enhance quality performance. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet contractual, regulatory, and customer requirements, particularly within the nuclear industry quality standards.
Responsibilities Include
Ensure products are manufactured and released in compliance with contract requirements and the Quality Management System.
Maintain and support an ISO 9001–based Quality Management System, including procedures, records, and training.
Support internal, customer, and nuclear quality audits.
Lead corrective and preventive actions through the Corrective Action Program (CAP).
Investigate and resolve nonconformances and customer complaints.
Support supplier quality activities, including evaluations, audits, and issue resolution.
Apply quality tools and data-driven methods to improve process capability.
Perform root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why) and implement effective corrective actions.
Review drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and quality records.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related).
3+ years of Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, and 8D.
Experience with inspection equipment and statistical analysis.
Nice to Have
Experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated environments (e.g., 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21) and support of audits, documentation, and regulated products.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification.
Six Sigma Green Belt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $46.00/hr.
