Position Summary

ITW Global Tire Repair is seeking a Machine B Operator to join our Manufacturing team in Solon, Ohio. In this role, you will operate filling and packaging equipment to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This hands-on position is responsible for machine operation, equipment setup and changeovers, product quality checks, and troubleshooting while maintaining ITW’s safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and/or manually tend machines that perform packaging functions such as filling, labeling, packing, blistering, and closing containers.

  • Perform minor adjustments, setups, changeovers, cleaning, and general operation of filling and packaging machines.

  • Validate and organize production jobs according to the bill of materials and special work instructions based on current and upcoming work orders.

  • Conduct quality inspections at required intervals to ensure products are packaged according to work orders and meet specifications.

  • Identify problems and assist in troubleshooting production equipment including cardboard balers, plastic balers, carton erectors, pallet jacks, pick-and-place card/blister adjustments, taper/tape guns, and other related equipment.

  • Assist in training full-time and temporary operators and support other teams as needed.

  • Operate a low-lift and sit-down forklift as required.

  • Promote and follow all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive, bottling, or packaging operations

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations

  • Comfortable using basic computer systems

  • Certified to operate low-lift and sit-down forklifts

Compensation Information:

$19-$22 per hour, depending on experience.
