The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing and painting transformer units. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role.
- Review checklist and follow work order instructions to ensure compliance with specifications
{=html} <!-- --> - Assess units prior to painting and check for issues (defects, leaks, etc.), escalate defect issues to lead or supervisor if discovered
{=html} <!-- --> - Mix paint and ensure the viscosity is consistent with specifications
{=html} <!-- --> - As needed replace paint in pots/drums
{=html} <!-- --> - Ensure paint guns are all in working order and spray pattern consistency is correct prior to painting the equipment
{=html} <!-- --> - If needed clean unit off accordingly by air or tack cloth
{=html} <!-- --> - Apply primer and paint as required to comply with quality expectations
{=html} <!-- --> - After primer and paint is complete look over unit to ensure quality expectations are met
{=html} <!-- --> - If unit is dissembled spray unit parts as required
{=html} <!-- --> - Once unit is complete move to final assembly
{=html} <!-- --> - Following all safety protocols which includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), respirator, glove, safety glasses, etc.

{=html} <!-- --> - Other duties assigned as needed.
