PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Position Overview

As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative products that meet high standards of quality and functionality. Working with tools such as SolidWorks and other CAD software, you will take ownership of the full product lifecycle – from initial concept and design to testing, validation, and production launch.

In this role, you will combine technical expertise with hands-on problem-solving, contributing to both new product development and the continuous improvement of existing products. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution and successful delivery. With opportunities to coordinate testing, support production start-up, and lead project activities, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and construct products using SolidWorks and other engineering tools

  • Own the full product lifecycle from concept and design to testing, validation, and implementation

  • Develop prototypes for new products and support continuous improvement of the existing product range

  • Coordinate and oversee testing activities for new product development

  • Support and coordinate the start of production for new products

  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality and functionality

  • Participate in and lead project activities to ensure successful delivery

  • Contribute in Device Technical file maintenance

  • Participate to research projects

Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering

  • Proficiency in CAD, 3D modelling, and simulation tools

  • Knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and best practices

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

  • You must have a basic knowledge level in Swedish and be fluent in English 

  • Experience from Med-tech, at least 2 years experience from similar role and experience working with Solidworks is meritorious.
