A property management company in Encinitas is hiring a Staff Accountant to support financial operations across multiple properties. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured processes and working with recurring financial cycles. This position supports accounting functions tied to property performance, tenant activity, and operational expenses. The right candidate will be organized, consistent, and comfortable managing multiple accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations
Track rent payments, expenses, and property-level reporting
Maintain general ledger and financial records
Assist with accounts payable and receivable
Support financial reporting across multiple properties
Maintain documentation and audit support files
Assist with budgeting and expense tracking
Ensure accuracy across financial data
Requirements
2–4 years of accounting experience
Experience in real estate or property management is a plus
Strong Excel and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts
Attention to detail and consistency
Understanding of basic accounting principles
