Location: Sofia, Bulgaria | Work arrangement: Hybrid | Contract type: Full-time | Reports to: Service Delivery Lead - Azure & DWP
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to operate within our Managed Services organization, combining advanced Azure infrastructure support responsibilities with high-impact Professional Services engagements. This role is fundamentally a managed support position (L3), with full ownership of operational stability, incident resolution, and SLA adherence across customer Azure environments. In parallel, the engineer will actively contribute to Professional Services initiatives, including architecture optimization, modernization programs, and environment improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advanced L2/L3 support for production Azure environments, troubleshooting complex infrastructure, networking, identity, and security incidents while escalating issues with detailed technical analysis when required
Ensure SLA compliance and high customer satisfaction while participating in an on-call rotation to support critical escalations
Conduct root cause analysis, identify recurring operational risks, and produce clear operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base materials
Perform technical assessments of customer Azure environments and design improvements aligned with the Azure Well-Architected Framework
Drive initiatives to improve reliability, security hardening, performance optimization, cost efficiency, and governance
Support cloud modernization efforts, including PaaS adoption, containerization strategies, and Infrastructure as Code implementation using Terraform and/or Bicep
Collaborate with customer technical leadership and internal stakeholders to deliver measurable platform improvements
What we need to see from you
Several years of experience managing Microsoft Azure production environments
Proven background in L3 managed infrastructure support
Strong understanding of Azure architecture, security, and networking principles
A trusted technical advisor, balancing operational support with proactive, value-driven optimization for customer environments
Demonstrated strong ownership and operational discipline through structured incident management while effectively balancing operational responsibilities with project-based delivery
Applied client-facing experience, analytical thinking, and strong documentation and communication skills to engage stakeholders and support continuous improvement of Azure environments
