RICHES FAMILY FARMS, LLC Farm/Irrigation Worker UT/ID (temporary) in SNOWVILLE, Utah

Temporary Need: 04/01/26 to 11/01/26. Five (5) full-time, seasonal, temporary Farm/Irrigation Workers needed. Requirements:

Applicants must have 20 days experience with farm and irrigation work and provide the contact information of at least one reference who can verify experience and performance. Applicants hired must be able to obtain a valid Drivers License as driving on public roads may be required.

Location: Work will be performed in Snowville, UT and Stone, ID.

All worksites within the mile radius are located in Box Elder, UT and Oneida, ID Counties.

Wage is $12.92/hour.

Hours: 48 hours/week, Mon. to Sat. 6:00am-5:00pm.

Duties:

Total workers needed: 5 over 2 staggered start dates. Staggered arrival dates: Group 1: 2 workers on or about 4-1-26 Group 2: 3 workers on or about 5-15-26 Duration of employment: 4-1-26 to 11-1-26.

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties related to the production of barley, grass, and hay for the majority of the workdays in the overall contract period, commensurate with the duties encompassed within the five SOC Codes comprising the field and livestock workers (combined) category.

General Farm Work will include the following responsibilities: maintain, drive, attach, and operate farm implements/tractors/equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilize, and harvest crops; make minor mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm machinery; may mix and/or spray chemicals (according to appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable); remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds; remove rocks from field; paint/repair/maintain farm structures; maintain/repair fencing; perform general cleanup of farm areas; drive, load/unload farm trucks and Ag exempt, non-CDL semi-trucks on, or between, farm worksites; operate vehicle, motor bike, or all-terrain vehicle in the course of performing duties; workers possessing the proper licensure may be asked to transport other farm workers.

Irrigation duties will include the following:

Pivots: operate, maintain and repair system.

Other Irrigation Duties: lubricate, adjust, repair, and replace parts such as sprinkler heads and drive chains using hand tools; observe revolving sprinklers and adjust to ensure proper operation and uniform distribution of water; disassemble, service, and store pipes/mainlines/wheel lines after irrigation season.

Terms and conditions of employment: All tools, supplies and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned will be provided at no cost or deposit to the worker. Instruction, training and general supervision will be provided by the farm operation or a designated employee. Workers must be able to perform all duties at entry level as well as perform additional mechanized activities with accuracy and efficiency while working at a sustained, vigorous pace; Workers must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by the supervisor and will be required to keep all property and farm buildings clean; workers must be willing to perform tasks capably and efficiently without close supervision; absences from work and/or failure to perform required tasks will not be tolerated; workers must be willing and able to l ive and work singly or in small groups of workers in isolated areas for extended periods of time; the job entails working with farm machinery such as tractors; will work outdoors in all types of weather and occasional exposure to hazards such as poisonous snakes; the employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compensation laws for comparable employment. The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work days equal to at least 3/4's of the total work period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or advertised contractual first day of need. Whichever is later to occur, and ending on the exp ration date specified. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer shall pay the worker the cost incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer. Subsistence costs will be paid at the rate of $16.28 per each 24-hour period of time that the worker is in travel status. A workers entitlement to reimbursement for reasonable subsistence costs in excess of $68 per day shall be limited to actual expenses not exceeding $68 per day, based on receipts. The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage that is issued by DOL for the time period the work is performed (or whichever is the highest rate). This job is in connection with a future H-2A labor certification application.
