Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Mainframe Developer, you will be part of the Data Management Department supporting innovative data solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a detail-oriented mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mainframe Developer

Location: Smithfield, Rhode Island

What's the Job?

• Analyze existing mainframe systems to identify data input and retrieval processes

• Dissect and document legacy code to facilitate system understanding and transition

• Collaborate with teams to define database development standards during migration to modern architectures

• Develop and optimize ETL strategies for large data sets ensuring resiliency and stability

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement solutions effectively

What's Needed?

• Proven experience with PL/SQL and mainframe systems, including COBOL

• Experience with ETL strategies, design, and development

• Solid background in writing complex SQL queries on Oracle (PL/SQL)

• Experience working with large data sets and system design principles

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
