WorkSource Oregon IT Systems Administrator I in Smith River, California
The Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for the Tribe\'s server, storage, backup, and enterprise application environments. This position will also work with Helpdesk for next-tier support, desktop OS & application deployment, documentation. This position requires attention to detail and a focus on security in all responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Deploy and update physical and virtual servers including Hyper-V and VMware hosts. 2. Monitor and maintain storage systems including iSCSI SANs 3. Manage and verify backups & maintain disaster recovery readiness. 4. Administer Microsoft 365 suite & Exchange email servers. 5. Manage Intune for device compliance, app & OS deployment, and endpoint security. 6. Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and related technologies. 7. Apply patches and maintain security best practices across all systems. 8. Provide next-tier technical support & training for Helpdesk. 9. Monitor system performance, capacity, and security. 10. Maintain up-to-date documentation, inventory, and SOPs. 11. Collaborate with other IT staff and department teams to implement secure and efficient solutions. 12. Respond to system outages and critical incidents, including occasional after-hours support. 13. Perform other related duties as assigned Required Knowledge: All Tolowa Dee-ni\' Nation employees are expected to have general knowledge of typical office technologies such as computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, and typical office software. Job Specific knowledge is listed below: * Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies. * Experience managing server and storage environments including VMware ESXi and Hyper-V, SAN (iSCSI), and related concepts. * Experience managing Exchange and MS365 Email, and Email security. * Knowledge of regional and cultural customs and values. Minimum Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 8 years\' experience related to job duties OR * Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related field And * 3 years of systems administration experience * 5 years of practical, service-oriented experience in the IT field. * Valid state issued driver\'s license and/or the ability to obtain a California or Oregon driver\'s license. Must be insurable on the Nation\'s insurance policy.
