Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

The outpatient LPN 1-3 position duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides direct nursing care to clients receiving treatment for mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or medical illness.

  • Responsible for performing individualized direct client care.

  • Performs standard nursing services, which may include the following: administering prescribed medications, performing injections, maintaining documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), administering screenings, tests, and other required labs, conducting assessments and screens for new clients.

  • Participates as an active member of an interdisciplinary Treatment Team.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational Appointment. Applicants may be asked to serve a probationary period that may be anywhere between 6 months and 24 months.

Compensation: This position is eligible for premium pay of $1.00/hour for hours worked performing direct patient care.

The following rates are Special Entrance Rates (SER) established for this agency in these job titles:

  • LPN 1 : $19.48/hour minimum - $28.90/hour maximum

  • LPN 2 : $20.84/hour minimum - $30.92/hour maximum

  • LPN 3 : $22.30/hour minimum - $33.08/hour maximum
