Job Title: Senior Associate Scientist - Sample Management

Location: Tarrytown, NY

Type: Contract

Compensation: $45 - $55 hourly

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Hours: 9 AM- 5 PM M-F

Responsibilities:

• Sample management and transfers

• Maintain orderly and accurate inventory of cold storage

• Maintain sample quality during distribution process

• Maintain request order queue in <2 business day cycle

• Maintain QC of sample packages to ensure accuracy of transferred contents

• Prepare sample shipments to off-site locations

• Complete daily sample transfers to notified on-site locations

• Maintain daily sample transfer logs

• Timely communication of order status and related order details using existing communication methods

• Optimization of communication tools for order status and inventory tracking

  Requirements:

• Min BS Degree

• 10+ years experience in sample management and cold storage

• Automation and liquid handling instrument experience required

• Sample management database development and maintenance experience required

• Experienced in communications and customer engagement

  Applicable key words: Sample accessioning, biorepository operations, chain of custody, cold storage (-20°C/-80°C/LN2), cryogenic handling, automated aliquoting, sample lifecycle management, LIMS, FreezerPro, LabVantage, STARLIMS, inventory audits, GLP/GxP documentation, CAPA/deviations, cold-chain compliance, IATA/DG shipping, dry ice packaging, kitting, pick lists, and sample logistics.
