Spring Forward Into a Role You\'ll LoveGrow With Us! Goodwill TalentBridge is hiring an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support workplace safety, OSHA compliance, and environmental programs in a manufacturing environment.
This contract role focuses on inspections, audits, safety training, hazardous materials management, and sustainability initiatives.\ \ Our client is committed to creating a safe and sustainable workplace. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a key role in managing site level Environmental Health & Safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture across operations.
Position Details:
- Contract Role
- Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM
- Pay rate \$28.84-\$31 an hour based on experience
What Youll Do:
- Oversee daily EHS activities at the site, including:
- Conducting inspections and audits
- Managing contractor safety programs
- Overseeing waste and hazardous materials handling
- Supporting change management processes
- Coordinate emergency response and site access protocols
- Develop and implement EHS procedures and work instructions
- Manage training programs:
- Deliver and assign training to employees
- Create engaging training materials
- Ensure timely completion of all required training
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and manage vendor relationships
- Take on additional responsibilities based on expertise and organizational needs
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety OR technical degree (Chemistry, Biology, Engineering) with relevant EHS experience
- Familiarity with OSHA and EHS principles
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently or in a team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Comfortable delivering training to large groups
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
