Robert Half Accounts Receivable Supervisor in Skokie, Illinois
Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead and optimize our financial operations. In this role, you will oversee critical invoice processing and AR functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency within a fast-paced environment. You will also drive process improvements, manage a dynamic team, and act as a key liaison across departments and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the allocation of accounts receivable requests and manage high-volume invoice processing with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor and analyze daily production metrics, ensuring team performance aligns with service level agreements and key performance indicators.
• Lead and resolve complex processes such as route settlements, equipment management, and credit card dispute resolutions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal policies and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
• Act as a primary liaison for accounting practices, coordinating effectively with leadership, vendors, and external reporting agencies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounts receivable team, fostering attention to detail, growth, and accountability.
• Ensure seamless communication between departments to maintain alignment on accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare and present reports on accounts receivable metrics and trends to senior leadership.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.
• Expertise in accounts receivable processes, including billing functions and cash applications.
• Strong knowledge of commercial collections and aging reports.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume invoice processing and credit card dispute resolutions.
• Experience in developing and maintaining financial policies and controls.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with a focus on accountability and performance.
• Proficiency in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify risks and implement solutions.
