Your Role at Baxter As a Baxter R & D Connected Monitoring Co-op , you will contribute directly to our mission to empower clinicians and health systems with tools to make a difference in patients and clinicians' lives. It's ambitious work-and you're not on your own.We are an innovation team within the Baxter connected monitoring group charged with creating the next generation of medical devices and monitors. We are seeking co-ops to help us research and innovate product ideas based on improving care by saving and sustaining lives. Your TeamYou will be a part of the Connected Monitoring group, which supports both new product development projects and sustainment of currently marketed products. You will work with a cross functional team that consists of other engineering disciplines, operations, and quality assurance. We work together to develop, test, and launch products that improve patient care.We encourage partnership, collaboration and prioritize building relationships with each other. Our teams support innovation and out-of-the-box thinking balanced with shared expertise and accountability. What you'll be doingThe co-op will:Support the project team by participating and assisting in the building and operation of prototypes with the goal of developing new futuristic products. * Create and complete hardware builds and perform testing.* Support testing and development of Biomedical test systems for product development * Research and Test Technologies from many industries to support our future medical products in vital signs* Follow company processes, while communicating and working on a team to meet project schedules. * Participate in team meetings to drive innovation and overcome hurdles. What you'll bring * Bachelor's Degree in progress (Electrical, Software Engineering , Biomedical or comparable technical subject area). * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others multi-functionally * Strategic problem solver; also execute with excellent attention to detail * Organization & ability to progress on many different tasks in parallel * Adaptability, open to change and continuously looks for ways to improve and simplify sophisticated work * Bachelor's Degree in progress (Electrical, Software Engineering , Biomedical or comparable technical subject area). * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others multi-functionally * Strategic problem solver; also execute with excellent attention to detail * Organization & ability to progress on many different tasks in parallel * Adaptability, open to change and continuously looks for ways to improve and simplify sophisticated work Baxter is committed to supporting the needs for flexibility in the workplace.
