Opportunity Overview
Provide technical support to the Contract Manufacturers for executing the assembly processes, assembly processes qualification/ buyoff, ECN/ ECO implementations, deviation controls, troubleshooting product functional failures to meet defined standards of quality and on-time delivery, materials form-fit qualifications, and components qualifications.
Identify and resolve critical manufacturing and quality issues and drive the contract manufacturers and suppliers to closure to yield results.
Be Teradyne's first point of contacts and escalation for process/ assembly related issues and provide deviation authorization as were appropriate.
Act as a primary interface with the Teradyne NPI Ops team/ Engineering team during the release of new assemblies or revisions to assemblies already in use at North Reading, MA.
Work with the contract manufacturer partner to drive operation improvements and cost reduction program through LEAN & 6-sigma projects.
Interact and participate with field team and quality team supporting and driving improvements on field quality feedback through 8-step of systematic problem-solving methodology.
Capable to apply TQM and TQC tools as well as pFMEA/ pFMECA tool for product manufacturing improvements such as first passed yield, visual mechanical inspection yield, field quality feedback and etc.
Work with contract manufacturers to develop issues troubleshooting guides or cookbook to address quickest possible method to troubleshoot an issue.
Devise a plan to satisfy and meet the given key performance indicators (KPIs), as well as recovery plan should the data indicating a gap against the target.
Devise product performance improvement plans through 8-step of systematic problem-solving methodology.
Any other duties as assigned.

Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in complex box build assembly, understanding technical drawings and SolidWorks would be an advantage.
Must be able to interface and effectively communicate with technology and engineering departments to resolve manufacturing issues.
Analytical, team player, mature thinking, organized and high sense of urgency.
Flexible to work at multiple time zones
We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.
