Enterprise Engineering, Inc. Structural Engineer (Lead Tank Designer) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Engineer withextensive knowledge in aboveground tank design and repair, particularly relatedto fuel systems. The ideal candidate will possess an API 653 certification anddemonstrate a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural engineering efforts for the design, inspection, and repair of aboveground fuel storage tanks.
- Prepare engineering calculations for the structural design of concrete foundations, steel structures, pipe supports, equipment and maintenance platforms, retaining walls, industrial buildings.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing tanks to identify structural deficiencies and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and project teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to aboveground tank design and repair.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience required
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Ability to obtain U.S. military base access through completion of a comprehensive background check.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Willing and able to independently travel periodically to project locations, domestic and international.* *
