Job Summary
The Actuarial Analyst - Intern, under the direction of a supervising actuary, assists with preforming functions to enable the department in delivering accurate actuarial and financial models for the organization. The Actuarial Analyst Intern manipulates data into a usable form, assists with developing new studies, and prepares various meaningful reports for senior staff and leadership’s analysis needs. Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Extracts data from the data warehouse for use in actuarial projects.
Develops simple databases to use for analysis and reporting.
Enters data, as necessary, to allow more senior level positions in the department to perform more advanced work.
Compiles and analyzes data into meaningful information for management reporting, actuarial studies, pricing, and forecasting.
Regular attendance is required in order to carry out the essential functions of the position.
Reviews and meets ongoing competency requirements of the role to maintain the skills, knowledge and abilities to perform, within scope, role specific functions.
