Job Title: Framing Carpenter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled framing carpenter to manage and lead our construction team. The ideal candidate will arrive promptly in the morning, review and ensure the accuracy of plans, and effectively communicate and translate these plans to the team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of high-end homes, training team members, and overseeing the entire production line.
Responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of carpenters, ensuring quality and efficiency in building homes.
Review construction plans for accuracy and communicate them effectively to the team.
Oversee the quality of high-end homes and train team members in best practices.
Take charge of five workspaces, splitting the team between Rough Lead and Finish Lead.
Be hands-on when necessary and provide training to ensure correct job execution.
Ensure the project stays on schedule from initial stages to completion.
Identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in production, supervision, and continuous improvement.
Strong supervisory and carpentry skills.
Ability to maintain quality standards and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Extensive experience in building homes from start to finish.
Ability to train and teach others each step of the construction process.
Excellent communication skills, with a focus on efficiency and quality.

Work Environment
You will work in a hoop building, which offers shelter from wind and rain, though it is not fully temperature-controlled. Work hours fluctuate seasonally, generally running from 7-4 or 8-5. Begin by building three spec homes with a small team, identifying inefficiencies, and then quickly ramping up staff to achieve our goal of building a home from start to finish in one week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
