Overview

Owns end-to-end media and integrated strategy for a major hospitality account. Acts as the primary strategic partner to senior client stakeholders while remaining hands-on across insight development, planning, deck creation, innovation, measurement, and awards. This role combines upstream strategy leadership with day-to-day delivery responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Account Leadership

  • Serves as theday-to-daystrategic lead for key client account.

  • Manages senior client stakeholders across planning,annual plans, and ongoing strategic discussions.

  • Shapes briefs, reframes problems, and aligns businessobjectiveswith media and communications strategy.

  • Appliesjudgmenton when global strategy can be adopted directly and when local or regional adaptation isrequired.

Audience & Insight

  • Leads audience definition, segmentation, and audience sizing across brands and categoriesfor key campaigns.

  • Pulls and interprets data from research, platforms, and internal tools.

  • Translates insights into clear planning and media implications.

Strategy & Planning

  • Owns strategic frameworks for annual planning,executivepresentationsandkeycampaign development.

  • Defines the role of media across the funnel (awareness, consideration, conversion).

  • Works closely with planning, analytics, and activation teams to ensure strategies are executable and measurable.

Deck Ownership & Output

  • Builds, structures, and finalises all major strategy decks, from first draft to seniorclient-ready.

  • Responsible for clarity, logic, and presentation quality, including deck “beautification”.

Innovation & Transformation

  • Identifiesinnovation opportunities across channels, formats, data, and platforms.

  • Works withplanning and activationteamstotranslate ideas into pilots, testandlearn plans, and scalable solutions.

  • Supports transformation initiatives tied to clear business outcomes.

Measurement, PCR & Effectiveness

  • Defines KPIs and learning agendas withplanning and activationteams.

  • Leads strategic input into PCRs andkeypostcampaign reviews.

  • Connects results back to originalobjectivesand future optimisation.

Awards & Thought Leadership

  • Identifiesaward-worthywork and leads awards strategy writing (problem, insight, idea, results).

  • Contributes to regional thought leadership and bestpractice outputs where relevant.

Internal Leadership

  • Sets the strategic standard on the account.

  • Workscross-functionallyacross mediaandcreativeteams.

  • Supports and guides planners tomaintainconsistent strategic quality across markets.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years’ experience in media and communications strategy.

  • Experience in large, complex, multi-market accounts.

  • Strong grounding in media fundamentals, marketing principles, measurement (including cross media, MMMs), data, and audience strategy.

  • Comfortable operating at the senior client level while remaining hands-on.

  • Strong written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
