IBM Senior Solutions Engineer - Select Territory (ASEAN) in Singapore, Singapore
Introduction
The Solutions Engineering team is the primary technical advocate for our customers. In the Select Territory, we succeed through high-velocity, integrated Go-To-Market models called "Sales Plays". You will orchestrate technical sales motions alongside our Sales teams and Focus Partners to drive revenue conversion, secure renewals, and increase lifetime value. You will directly impact growth by driving Net ACV, renewals, and Professional Services attachments.
What you'll do (responsibilities):
Act as the technical authority for HashiCorp solutions, targeting Select Territory accounts and digital sales motions.
Run targeted sales plays jointly with Focus Partners to aggressively build pipeline.
Shadow and guide Focus Partners during Proof of Values and Proof of Concepts to guarantee technical wins.
Drive Net ACV growth, secure renewals, scope Professional Services engagements to maximize territory monetization.
Scale technical awareness across ASEAN through one-to-many engagements, demos, and digital content.
Drive the adoption-retention-expansion flywheel using customer telemetry.
Call out renewal risks and propose mitigations to dedicated cross-functional teams.
Act as the primary feedback loop to global product teams.
Your role and responsibilities
The Mission: You are the technical engine for our fastest-growing segment. At HashiCorp (an IBM company), you will architect 1-to-many technical motions, execute alongside our Focus Partners, and drive cloud-native adoption across ASEAN.
We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to be our force multiplier in the Singapore and ASEAN Select Territory market.
This is a presales role where you will leverage deep technical expertise, customer advocacy, and commercial velocity to scale our reach across a high-volume, broad-market customer base. You will drive adoption, retention, and expansion through one-to-many digital motions and targeted sales plays with our partner ecosystem.
Select Territory clients are broad-market accounts with strong potential and high technology skills concentration. These clients typically engage through Digital Sales motions, channel partners, or transactional routes, building a scalable, high-volume growth engine across industries.
Required technical and professional expertise
We seek candidates with deep technical expertise, commercial acumen, and tuned one-to-many communication skills.
5+ years in technical pre-sales, or equivalent hands-on experience in engineering or delivery roles driving high-volume of transactional in nature projects in broad customer markets.
Proven track record of technical wins and driving product awareness across multiple ASEAN countries.
Cloud expertise in major providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), with a history of executing cloud migrations and infrastructure cost optimization.
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, API-driven development, readability in programming languages such as Go and Python.
Outstanding presentation skills with the ability to deliver customer sessions, technical workshops, and digital content to massive audiences.
Preferred technical and professional experience
HashiCorp Portfolio knowledge of existing HashiCorp solutions such as Vault, Terraform, Consul, Nomad
Ecosystems experience, e.g. building technical enablement playbooks for channel partner and system integrators.
