Role Summary / Purpose
The Senior Associate, Business Development and M&A will play a key role in supporting inorganic growth activity in International Markets.
Essential Duties
Supports People Leader in executing on Business Development transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments, partnerships and/or alliances, and licensing
Lead various workstreams of the transaction process, including structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and closing
Provide project management leadership and support for business development projects, including strategy roadmap, market analyses, business case development, post-integration value creation, etc.
Work cross-functionally with assigned segments, function, and regional teams to execute to identify gaps in business unit portfolio, and define executable steps to position segment for accelerated growth
Work with GE HealthCare leadership to manage communication and alignment with key internal stakeholders to support effective decision making and transaction approval processes
Partners with other Associate(s) and contributes to shared learning and knowledge to improve tools, processes, and templates for business development projects
Other duties as required to execute on GE HealthCare’s strategic goals
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or similar
Minimum 6 years of work experience in finance, private equity, investment banking, business or corporate development or related field
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, especially in financial modelling
Familiarity and/or experience with executing on M&A transactions
Experience supporting or leading certain elements of the business development transaction process: structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, contracting, closing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong command of English (oral and written)
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare industry experience
Master’s in Business Administration, Finance or similar field
Able to communicate effectively with high-level leadership
Adaptable and flexible: Open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or work in ambiguous situations
Experience working internationally (e.g., across time zones, cultures, nationalities, etc.)
Experience leading a project team and executing on a project end-to-end
Strong network in private equity and/or start up ecosystem
