Abbott Country Manager - ANI Singapore in Singapore, Singapore
The ANI Singapore Country Manager is accountable for leading Abbott Nutrition’s business in Singapore as the commercial leader of the affiliate , with primary responsibility for driving Sales and Marketing performance . The role translates ANI regional and global strategies into locally relevant commercial, operational, and organizational plans that deliver sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
The Country Manager will report to the General Manager for Singapore & Malaysia, with Singapore forming part of this cluster, and will work in close partnership to ensure strategic and operational alignment, effective governance, and shared value creation across the cluster.
Key Accountabilities
The Country Manager:
Acts as the Commercial Leader of the Singapore affiliate, with end-to-end accountability for Sales and Marketing strategy, execution, and results
Converts ANI regional and global strategies into executable country business, commercial, and operating plans
Leads and develops a high-performing, values-driven organization with strong commercial capability and leadership depth
Delivers sustainable, profitable growth in line with ANI short- and long-term objectives
Ensures compliance with all regulatory, legal, quality, and ethical standards
Represents Abbott Nutrition in Singapore, safeguarding the company’s reputation, ethics, and brand equity
Prima r y Job Resp o nsibilities
Business Leadership & Strategy Execution
Deeply understands the Singapore healthcare, nutrition, and payer ecosystem, including customers, trade, consumers, competitive dynamics, and public health priorities
Translates ANI regional and global strategy into an integrated Singapore country strategy and operating plan, balancing short‑term execution with long‑term capability building
Articulates a compelling business vision that aligns teams around clear priorities, outcomes, and accountabilities
Builds robust commercial and operating models spanning sales, marketing, trade, demand planning, supply chain, and customer engagement
Anticipates and responds proactively to market shifts, regulatory changes, and evolving consumer and healthcare needs
Commercial & Financial Management
Owns full country P&L accountability, including revenue growth, gross margin, OPEX discipline, and investment optimization
Sets clear KPIs and governance to monitor performance, address gaps, and accelerate results
Develops strong, fact‑based business cases to secure regional and global investment for Singapore growth initiatives
Ensures disciplined execution of pricing, portfolio, and channel strategies aligned with ANI priorities
People, Organization & Culture Leadership
Builds, leads, and sustains a high‑performing country leadership team across functions
Champions Abbott Leadership Competencies, Diversity & Inclusion, and ANI values
Leads end‑to‑end talent management: attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining top talent
Drives succession planning, organization design, and capability building for long‑term sustainability

Stakeholder & External Engagement
Serves as Abbott Nutrition’s primary representative in Singapore with government agencies, regulatory bodies, healthcare professionals, industry associations, and key partners
Builds trusted, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across ANI, regional, and global functions
Navigates and influences complex regulatory, policy, and compliance environments to support business continuity and growth
Protects and enhances Abbott Nutrition’s corporate reputation and ethical standing
Governance, Quality & Compliance
Ensures full compliance with Abbott policies, ANI standards, Singapore regulatory requirements, and quality systems
Actively partners with Regulatory, Quality, Legal, and Compliance teams to anticipate and manage risk
Embeds a strong culture of integrity, patient/consumer safety, and ethical decision‑making
Key Business Challenges

Experience, Knowledge & Capabilities
Required Experience
Seasoned commercial leader with proven success in consistently delivering profitable growth whilst building progressively larger Commercial organisations in emerging markets.
Career history spanning combination of Sales and Marketing leadership in MNC within highly matrixed environments.
Strong commercial leadership experience across sales, marketing, trade, and customer models
Track record of developing and executing business strategies in complex, regulated environments
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse, cross‑functional teams in a matrix organization
Proven people leadership with strengths in talent development, engagement, and succession planning
Desired Experience
Experience within nutrition, healthcare, FMCG, or similarly regulated industries
Exposure to both affiliate (country) leadership roles and regional / headquarter functions
Experience operating in multi‑country, multicultural, or APAC environments
Strong understanding of Singapore healthcare, regulatory, and consumer landscape
