DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for ensuring reliable and cost-effective supply chain operations Manage strategic supplier relationships, drive procurement initiatives, and collaborate across functions to optimize material availability and inventory levels. Continuous improvement projects, implement cost savings strategies, and develop effective solutions for supply chain challenges.
Working closely with cross-functional teams
Analyze requirements, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure on-time delivery of materials critical to our manufacturing operations.
Apply analytical and negotiation skills to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions while maintaining high quality standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in procurement/supply chain experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in life sciences or regulated industry
Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (APICS, CSCP, CIPS, CPM) preferred
Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Office skills
Strong negotiation abilities and demonstrated success in delivering cost savings
Experience with supplier relationship management and performance metrics tracking
Knowledge of FDA, ISO and cGMP regulatory requirements in procurement
Demonstrated project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects
Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain optimization techniques
Experience with new product introduction and change management processes
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights
Strong attention to detail and process compliance mindset
Experience conducting supplier audits and business reviews
Travel up to 15% as needed
