RSA provides flight-critical components and assemblies for the commercial, defense and business jet markets. RSA designs and produces custom-engineered high pressure/high-temperature ducting assemblies for each customer’s specific performance requirements. RSA’s Peri-SealTM is one of the most sought after connectors in the aerospace industry. Additionally, RSA designs and produces flexible joints and hoses, ozone converters and many complex assemblies to meet stringent customer needs.
Job Summary:
As a direct report to the Engineering Director, the Project Engineer shall be responsible to plan, organize, implement and control a variety of activities related to engineering, research and development and design related to customer specifications to ensure company business goals and customer requirements are met within cost and on schedule. The Project Engineer II may have Junior Engineers supporting them.
Projects will include, but are not limited to: New Product Development RSA IP designs, Build-to-Print, Design to Spec, and other relevant design activities. The Design Engineering Manager shall be responsible to ensure the completion of projects from the Request for Proposal (RFP) phase thru Contract Award, Detailed Design, Design Validation/Certification, initial Production, and sustaining engineering efforts.
RSA is ITAR regulated.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Organize and schedule engineering activities to ensure they are completed on schedule and within cost.
Peer review of detailed design activities including: manufacturing drawing review, stress analysis, project schedules, etc.
May require support of junior engineers.
Assure design compliance to customer requirements.
Schedule design reviews, meetings, and interdepartmental presentations to ensure design points are understood and are concurrent with other organization activities.
Ability to take “hands on” approach.
Perform other duties as assigned

Work in a team environment.
This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the Simi Valley, CA location.
