Amergis Behavior Technician - ST in Simi Valley, California
Location: Simi Valley, CA
Position: Behavioral Technician (BT)
Schedule: Monday–Friday (hours vary by school site)
Pay: $25 per hour
Start Date: Ongoing openings available
Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and patient Behavior Technicians to support students in school settings throughout Simi Valley. BTs work directly with students who require behavioral, social-emotional, and instructional support, helping them succeed in both academic and social environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in ABA, psychology, special education, or building a long-term career in behavioral health.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 behavioral support to students in the classroom
Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under supervisor/teacher guidance
Support social, emotional, and behavioral skill development
Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and instruction
Track and record student behaviors and progress
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and site administrators
Minimum Requirements
Must be 18+ years old
Ability to pass DOJ/FBI fingerprinting and TB clearance
Experience working with children preferred
Strong communication, patience, and professionalism
ABA or school-based behavioral experience is a plus (not required)
