Direct Digital Controls Supervisor

Location: Silverdale, Washington (Bangor)

Type: Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $115,350.00 -$121,832.07/annually (Tessera's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Tessera is seeking a Direct Digital Controls Supervisor to oversee the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of digital control systems. In this role, you will ensure systems are optimized for performance, uptime, and compliance with strict industry standards and regulations. You will also lead design and implementation projects, support operational readiness, and serve as the organization’s subject matter expert in digital control critical systems.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

· Oversees the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of digital control systems.

· Ensures control systems are optimized for performance, uptime, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

· Maintains in-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., NFPA, ISO) related to digital control systems.

· Ensures that all systems and practices comply with safety, environmental, and operational regulations.

· Identifies potential risks to critical systems and develop mitigation strategies.

· Conducts regular assessments and audits of digital control systems to ensure safety and performance.

· Develops and implements emergency response plans related to critical system failures. Coordinate training and drills for staff to ensure preparedness in case of emergencies.

· Serves as the primary point of contact for all matters related to critical systems.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering preferred.

· 5-8 years un Eletrical Engineering or closely related field.

· An equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.

· Successful completion of an HVAC/R and DDC apprentice program or equivalent trade school training, education and experience that provides training and experience with maintenance, repair and operation of: DDC systems, cooling towers, fan coils systems, closed loop water treatment, industrial HVAC/R systems and air balancing.

· Experience with direct digital controls, building automation systems, or related technology.

· Proficient understanding of control theory, HVAC systems, and energy management practices.

· Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

· Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

· May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

· Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

· Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

· A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
