Saint-Gobain Material Handler in SILVER GROVE, Kentucky

Come start a career with us at CertainTeed as a Mill/Active Storage Operator. In this position, employees will operate a Loader and Dump Truck to haul DSG back and forth to LTS, work Reclaim Piles, feed C5, C6 & Secondary, and operate Rotochopper.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate specified Mobile Equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Maintain housekeeping Mill/Active Storage Areas

  • Operate front-end loader, forklift, dump truck, and other mobile equipment to process gypsum and recycle material.

  • Promote a culture of safety and wellness.

  • Work efficiently under minimal supervision and independently, troubleshooting a wide range of processes and equipment issues.

  • Provide shift and vacation coverage.

  • Work as a team member to accomplish large-scale, planned housekeeping and cleanout of equipment.

Loader - the operator must be proficient with Loader Operations. This includes everything from conducting pre-shift inspections on equipment, filling grease points, machine controls, feeding hoppers, and loading dump trucks.

Dump Truck - the operator must be proficient with Dump Truck Operations. This includes pre-shift inspections, machine controls, hauling material from rejects/warehouse to stockpiles, and hauling material into the C5 building.

Working Conditions:

  • Manufaturing plant environment with exposure to dust, chemicals, temperature changes, and noise

  • Willingness to work overtime as required

  • Ability to demonstrate acceptable attendance as scheduled

  • Outdoor, industrial, and material stockpile yard setting

  • 10-hour AM shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required

  • 1 year of experience in operating heavy mobile equipment (including, but not limited to: dump truck, front-end loader, bulldozer, excavator)

  • 1 year of manufacturing experience is preferred

  • Proficient PC skills preferred
