FT: Machinist Silver Creek, NY We are looking for a full-time Machinist at our Silver Creek, NY location. We are seeking someone who is a self-starter and team player. You demonstrate ownership, competence, and go above and beyond for your teammates and customers.
What you'll do: Develop creative solutions for machining simple and complex parts, weldments, and assemblies. Handle manual machine set up and operation (Lathe and Mill). Define practical uses of tooling options and processes with every project. Define speeds and feeds per material specifications. Work with machine measuring tools and measurements (e.g., calipers and micrometers).
Requirements Ability to read blueprints. 2-4 years of prior experience in set up and operation. Knowledge of fabrication equipment typical to the industry (e.g., overhead cranes and forklifts) and familiarity with using equipment (e.g., saw cutting, shearing, and drilling). Flexible and adaptable approach to work and ability to solve problems.
