The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking aManufacturing Quality Engineer (Plating) to work out of its state-of-the-art facility inSidney, NY.
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Plating)will analyze and discuss quality concerns with assigned manufacturing departments.
The key responsibilities of theManufacturing Quality Engineer (Plating) include, but are not limited to:
Identify, prioritize, and address all significant and repetitious quality problems
Initiate and verify the effectiveness of formal corrective actions
Maintain thorough knowledge of ISO-9001, AS-9100, and Amphenol's quality manual, and subordinate procedures
Enforce quality policies
Maintain working knowledge of products and associated processes
Conduct quality audits when appropriate and when assigned
Develop and maintain constructive professional relationships with employees and customers
Take prudent actions to achieve continuous improvement in reducing cost of non-quality and customer returns
Investigate and disposition customer returns involving product from area of responsibility

Salary: $62,354 - $85,000
The Person -
The key skills and qualities of aManufacturing Quality Engineer (Plating) at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
Knowledge of statistical methods, and computer fluency
Strong interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication
Applicable experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment preferred
Work extensively with Amphenol's computer systems, the AS400 mainframe and the local PC network
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Data4 software
Ability to freely travel throughout a manufacturing floor environment
Some lifting and carrying of small loads may be required
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
